Writing Center Events
Here's what's coming up in Fall 2026:
- Day on Writing: Tuesday 20 October 2026, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Join the Writing Center, the Writing Program, , FAWN, and the William T. Daly School of General Studies as we celebrate National Day on Writing! Engage in our quick, fun writing activities
around campus, earning a stamp for each. Then come to the Writing Center to enter
our gift raffle! Here's a list of our locations and activities:
- C Wing: Postcard station: Fill out a postcard to send to a loved one. We'll provide the postcard and postage;
just make sure you know the address of the recipient.
- Bjork Library, 100-level entrance: Â鶹´«Ã½ haikus: Write a haiku about Â鶹´«Ã½ to be posted on campus and the Writing Center webpage.
- Campus Center food court: Words of encouragement: Leave a note of encouragement on a little card; take a note of encouragement for yourself.
- Dunkin: Respond to faculty writing: Read what some Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty have been writing and leave a note about your reflections
on it.
- Writing Center (E-068): Raffle entry: Once you've participated in some (or all) of our activities, come to the Writing Center
to enter our raffle. You get as many raffle entries as you got stamps, so the more
activities you do, the better your chance of winning the raffle.
- Write Now Right Now
- Research librarians and peer writing consultants will join forces in the Writing Center for all your writing needs. Want to talk through
your ideas for your assignment or get feedback on a draft? Ask a peer writer! Need
a hand finding the right sources for your research or evaluating sources? The research
librarians have your back!
